Three ADs I buy from in the US confirmed 7-8% increase on Omega including the speedMaster and seamaster.So we have all heard of the price increases happening soon in July 2023 for omega watches. How does this make you feel about Omega as a brand? I personally have been wanting an Omega watch but haven't felt I can afford it, yet here we are with another increase which will push me further away from buying one.
I don’t get it though, since you can still get them new from an AD (with a 5-year Omega warranty) for the ~,600 mark. That’s down from an MSRP of ,400. I get it. Omega is repositioning itself (after all, high quality products shouldn’t ever be discounted). But that’s not the case on the ground. Far from it. All brands increased their prices. If Panerai nowdays can ask 00 for their entry level (remember, we are talking Panerai-LOL) models, then Omega should ask at least 00 for Seamasters, and K for Speedmasters!
