I’d say what I like most about this reference however is how it wears on the wrist. Being listed as a 40mm case it actually measures as 39mm and wears so slim compared to the newer “maxi” case refrences. The lug to lug of 47mm and thinness of 12mm also . Since the Submariner range fragmented in the late 60s, Rolex has gone onto issue the dated versions in all steel, solid yellow gold, solid white gold and two-tone yellow Rolesor. To me the Rolex Submariner 14060 is the best of the sapphire submariners and one of the last great tool watches. However, with an over-inflated price tag of around £8000, compared to what I bought it for 6 years ago, I would give it a miss today.
